Academic
Shoalhaven Anglican School is registered and accredited to present students for both the School Certificate and the Higher School Certificate. The HSC provides a certificate to mark the end of secondary education as well as the qualification for entry to universities.
The Senior School strives to provide breadth as well as depth in the curriculum. Over Years 7 – 12 students gain a greater degree of choice in their subjects. This allows for some specialisation whilst still keeping students future options open. We aim for each student to achieve at their very best academically.
The school provides support for those students who have specific learning needs. Our Honours program allows all students, with the guidance of their teacher, to access learning that challenges students at a level two years beyond their chronological peers.
Co-curricular
As a small school Shoalhaven Anglican School is able to offer all students a wide variety of co-curricular opportunities. From a wide range of sports, to musicals and drama performance to vegie gardens and recycling programs students are able to become involved in programs which will make school life far more engaging.
In 2012 we are running 5 interest based tutor groups. These groups will meet each morning for 15 minutes and at other times as needed. The groups for 2012 are Digital Media, Environment, Choir, Creative Writing and Print Media.
Shoalhaven Anglican School strives to honour the life of Jesus by developing young people who will be contributors to their communities throughout their adult lives.
